It is riddled with holes and changes from the anime/manga but is mostly entertaining, I prob won't watch it again though but glad I've seen it once. I have to admit I almost enjoyed it till my very own Goku pointed out some things, these were: Its dragonball where were the fights? really that was enough but he carried on, Ok I can suspend belief really easily but how does a regular kid, I mean really he did nothing as sideswipe says that Tony Jaa couldn’t. Then go and carry a easy 100kilo+ backpack and keep up with a motorised trike on foot they started in town the next scene they were in the desert he was still running? WTF?? It’s dragonball WTF is up with the plot? If there is a hole dug 20 ft deep and you dig sideways in a desert you do not come across a large cavern with no visible roof with flowing lava. How on earth does he transform back to being goku on his own? It would have taken me 5 minutes to come up with a better choreographed end fight where Roshi hell even Yamcha cuts off his tail, truer to the story and then gives them a point in the plot also, a damn site better than just he changed back on his own, what NO! The good points As suspected Chow yun fat plays a mean Roshi kinda let down by the fact his physical appearance is NOTHING like him come on a fake beard or a bald wig? Ok so I can’t even list good points without slating it that should give you a idea of how just utterly crap this movie is. My advice rent Spy Kids the plot is more believable and has less holes in, if you must watch a martial arts movie (which this most certainly isn’t) The Forbidden Kingdom is better than this even if you fast forward through all the bits with Jackie Chan in and that’s half the movie! Started reading this on my phone, and had to switch to my PC because it was so in depth. You have said enough for me. I was thinking about this (not very seriously). My passing knowledge of Dragon Ball is no where near yours, but even I know enough not to want to watch this tripe. I’m sorry.. how can you compare this to “Street Fighter”, that is a terrible film but at least you had Raul Julia to entertain you. Don’t worry though the remake of “Ghost in the Shell” is bound to more than enough to make up for this travesty… oh dear! OK.. maybe the remake of “Akira” will be the one that redeems them.
