1974′s Space Battleship Yamato is one of the most epic, legendary anime series ever made. It’s also 26 episodes long. The 2010 live action film has to compress all of that into 138 minutes and also attempts to modernise the crew and interestingly, opts to include elements from the anime’s sequel series to boot.

It is ambitious and yet somewhat successful. I say somewhat because they have turned a space opera, a slow dramatic show that at times had me as close to tears as I’ve ever been since I saw Optimus Prime die in ’86, into a Hollywood style blockbuster.
How? why? well simple really, you can’t have anywhere near as many near destruction encounters as in the original. The Yamato doesn’t get heavily damaged and fixed again many times over, there just isn’t time. The pace of the film is understandably quick and there are many things that were cut out but I enjoyed the film and as a film it makes sense even if some f the changes may be a little hard to swallow.

What’s it about?

In the year 2199, mankind loses their final showdown in space against invaders from the Gamilas race. With human tech no match for the attackers, Captain Okita is forced to retreat to the radiation soaked Earth where humans live in underground cities after the surface was hit by radioactive meteors sent by Gamilas. Earth gets a ray of hope in the form of a capsule from Iskander, it contains a map and schematics for a wave motion engine capable of warping a ship through space and powering a canon powerful enough to destroy any Gamilus ship.
The defence force construct the Space Battleship Yamato using these plans, its mission, fight past the attackers from space and travel to Iskander and retrieve a device from the high-tech culture capable of purifying the Earth. Character wise it revolves around the hotshot ace pilot Susumu Kodai, the hard hitting love interest Yuki Mori and wise old Captain Okita and his passing of the torch to Kodai.

Modernising Yamato

The whole cg look of the film’s effects seems to be lifted from the 2005 Batlestar Galactica so it isn’t the best cg you’ll have seen but then this is a Japanese movie and budget-wise can’t be expected to compete with Transformers for cg budgets and effects. The music is instrumental version of the legendary Yamato theme. I’m too old school and mis the words but duing the film the music is just modern remixes of the classic theme which is perfect as the original’s music was a masterpiece up there with Star Wars.

As for some of the more noticable character changes:

Dr Sado, the Yamato’s chief doctor and drunk in the series was a small balding drunk who was always entertaining as he hung around with his cat, the analyzer robot and a bottle of sake. In the film he becomes, well a woman who doesn’t get to do much other than stand around with her cat and a bottle of sake in homage. Not really the best of changes but in this day and age you probably couldn’t get away with the old doctor.
Analyzer goes from being a red human sized robot with perverted tendencies that hangs around with the doctor lusting after Yuki to a ummm, an artificial intelligence living in a tablet pc operated by Kodai for most of the film (but this redesign is totally redeemed near the end of the film with a super baddass upgrade).
Aihara was a guy who didn’t do much in the original series (but did more in later series), him becoming a she I can live with.
Yuki Mori has undergone some sort of personality transport and goes from lifestyle officer and nurse to fighter pilot… That said, it works for the film, if you hadn’t seen the original series you’d never know. If you have, it’s hard.
Saito is a character who was lifted out of the second season of Space Battleship Yamato, he’s less obnoxious than in the series and actually a good addition.

The commander of Gamilus, Desla is a key character of the main story in the anime, in the film, yeah not much time at all and his appearance… Well he was a blue humanoid before, he isn’t now…

Final Thoughts

Without giving too much away I’ll tell you that you can quite happily watch this film without having seen the original series, in some ways it may help. What I will also say, is that because of the way it skips large events and actually takes large chunks of Yamato 2′s ending. You can quite happily watch the series afterwards and be in for a thoroughly enjoyable story and you won’t be left thinking seen all this, you won’t have because so little of the original is in here. Is that a good thing, I don’t know, but all things considered, I just don’t think it’s possible to compress the whole story into one film and have the same impact. Instead we get a highly entertaining action packed version of Yamato which is either a great introduction, or a nice alternate telling of it for existing fans. Either way, this is one anime to live action conversion that is *gasp* actually a good film! I just hope it gets an official blu-ray release in the UK or more likely the USA.

The Expendables may have the most pressure on it of any movie ever, just look at the cast list

Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Randy Couture, Terry Crewes, Mickey Rourke, Stone Cold Steve Austin and cameo’s by Bruce Willis and Arnold Schwarzenegger. It’s cast are all legends and almost all of them are used to headlining their own movies.

Question:How can you possibly live up to that?

Answer: With some good fights, lethal knife usage for brutal kills, lots of guns and a ludicrous amount of explosions. The only thing Expendable about this is the plot which is vintage 80s storytelling (i.e. the story is more of an excuse than an actual plot and you know that’s deliberate here). Oh and Charisma Carpenter has a small role in it and is still hotter than all of the explosions in the film combined.

The Glory

So much glorious content for action heads, although Arnie is only in it for a couple of minutes, he is a one liner machine in that time. Dolph vs Jet Li, Stallone vs Stone Cold, when you’ve got fights like those, there’s no need to worry about plot, just sit back and make sure you’ve got plenty of popcorn as this film is an unashamed action film. A reminder that simple can be brilliant. There are highlights aplenty including Dolph being just plain awesome as a drugged up mercenary who’s gone way too far over the line, Terry Crewes with the biggest, loudest and most destructive gun there is and him doing an insane shot putt that has to be seen to be believed. Jet Li deserves praise for showing more character than in a lot of his own films, he cracked me up a few times and still managed to crack the limbs of his opponents in usual fashion. Stone Cold makes a helluva good bad guy and for the love of God just stop reading and go book your tickets. Sly is Sly and that alone is worth watching a movie for, never mind with this kind of backup. Randy Couture doesn’t get much character sadly but he is a beast of a fighter in it. I wish there was more of him and Terry Crewes in it but hey, maybe a sequel, Stallone isn’t adverse to making those

Anyway, I loved this film and I really hope this does well enough to warrant a sequel because it was FUN, moreso than the A-Team, which tried to take itself seriously. The Expendables rocks and you really need a cinema sized screen and surround sound to do it justice.

Here’s a trailer because I can, and it’s great and I enjoy watching it..

The Good

As I said earlier, there is a lot to like about the new A-Team film, just courtesy of being the A-Team, it instantly has a theme tune to make most film soundtracks weep with envy. Seeing BA’s van race around on the big screen, even if only for a few minutes was not only awesome nostalgia, but there’s something about that GMC van that still looks impressive.

I thought Liam Neeson was excellent as Hannibal Smith, he had a similar sense of authority and while no-one could possibly be as smug as George Peppard’s Hannibal, he did a fine job. I love that you get to see the flight that makes BA forever afraid of flying with Murdock. The two of them make a great duo throughout the film. Murdock pretending to be a doctor was gold. Kudos to Sharlto Copley for that, he’ll never replace Dwight Schultz in my heart as Murdock but he did well enough for me to enjoy the character and not complain. Replacing Mr. T is frankly impossible, the man was and still is charisma incarnate but I thought that Quinton “Rampage” Jackson did well and as I said earlier, I enjoyed his banter with Murdock and his development of a fear of flying.

The Bad

I rarely critise directing but this was so hit and miss it made me angry. The close ups of the words “Pity” and “Fool” on B.A.’s fists was good, and there were scenes which were VINTAGE A-Team but then you had the ridiculous. In Quinton “Rampage” Jackson, you have a legitimate tough guy, a baddass capable of beating up punks for sport. You do not need fast edits during him beating someone up to make him look good, it actually looks crap and is hard to follow. He was also called Bosco far more than BA which I suppose seing how the team’s history is rewritten in this kinda makes sense but it’s an unnessary change really.

There is a large emphasis on Face as the film goes on, I don’t mind that but Face is perhaps the hardest of all the roles in the A-Team. You’ve got to be smooth talking, good looking, charming without being annoyingly arrogant. For proof of how hard it is, watch the pilot of the A-Team, Tim Dunigan was playing the part of Face but is not Face, there’s something that Dirk Benedict has that others don’t. Bradley Cooper is not bad, he’s a more rugged Face than Dirk and more believable in a fight but maybe that was the charm of Dirk’s Face. The comedy of him calling out to BA in a fight, the way he didn’t look like a member of a crack team but was indespensible for his ability to get the team equipment, supplies and info, he didn’t need to be Hannibal-lite and come up with a plan.

Then there’s the things that were changed from TV show to movie. The A-Team shoot at and actually hit people with bullets! unthinkable! The only thing The A-Team ever hit was the floor, doors or walls, there wasn’t enough bad guys getting thrown by explosions – a staple of the original. At no time did Hannibal disguise himself and the tone of the movie was far more serious than the lighthearted TV show I love. Fans of the the building montage will be disappointed that there is no tank built out of a bus or anything similar. No doubt it was to keep the more serious tone but in the Orange adverts before the film, the same cast showed that they can deliver the cheesey comedy of the original. That’s a shame and a waste to me.

To Finish

The new cast is an A-Team, they delivered an entertaining film, packed full of gun fights, explosions and plans coming together. They are a fine team, but not THE A-Team, that shall always be reserved for The A-Team starring George Peppard, Dirk Benedict, Dwight Schultz and of course, Mr. T which was the most entertaining show on TV when I was a kid and is STILL one of if not the most entertaining shows on TV. Much like the first Dukes of Hazzard film, if you can seperate your feelings concerning the old team or if you haven’t seen the original, you will enjoy this film (which is incedentally MUCH better than that film for comparison). Of course if the sight of the A-Team shooting at people and not at the ground in front of their feet appals you, best not look… But if you want a good solid action film, look no further. I went in with low expectations, wanting to hate it but found myself enjoying it. As far as remakes go though, this is good. Unnecessary yes, different yes, but not bad, not bad at all and well worth a watch. And when you do watch, you MUST stay to the end for a slightly longer and speaking cameo from the original Face and Murdock. In fact, I’d say it was the best bit of the film because in one line Dirk Benedict sums up why as fun as the film was it should not have been made – you don’t mess with the Face.

This film can really only be described as a master piece of film making that it seems only a few directors are able to pull off.

Lets not mince words here, Avatar is a brilliant film! There, it is said! This is an epic film in every way, from the grand story to the amazing vistas, right through to the stunning technology they have used to create this marvel. The majority of this film is computer generated but in such a life like and detailed way it is hard to see where the computer generation ends and the real people begin. I was very impressed with the similarity between the real actors and their avatars. It just leant a little more to the life like quality of the animation work.

This is a long film (3 hours) but not only does it not feel that long, there isn’t really any fluff that can be trimmed away. Every scene has something it needs to get across to you and where there was a chance to remove a scene it was taken. As a result the film is long but moves at a good pace all the way through. In fact there were a number of scenes where I wanted it to slow a little so I could take in the stunning backgrounds and the details of the world. This will be a very rewarding film to watch at home, not only will you get to hear James Cameron’s take on it, but you will get to really take in the details. I get the feeling the directors cut (if there is one) will be longer.

A lot has been made about this films eco ethics, to be honest I did not feel it. I can see why people would say it has an eco message to tell you, but I never felt it was rammed down my throat. It was more realistic than that. A planet has a mineral people want, they turn up and want to destroy the planet and its people because they don’t give a toss. Any corporation would do that, especially if that planet is six years into deep space.

Confession

I did not see this film in 3D, I wish I had. Even though it has been out for two weeks the 3D showing was completely full (I have never seen that before). There is a very good chance I will be going back just so I can see it in 3D. There are various parts of the film that will really reward you for it, and there was only one moment where I thought it was gratuitously used but you have to forgive every 3D film at least one cheap shot.

Conclusion

Go and see this film, it is as amazing as you have been lead to believe!

It is an excellent popcorn film

You read that right. This film is not without its faults and I’ll get on to those later but first and foremost, this is a fun film. Well paced action that really deserves to have a sequel (which is cleverly set up at the end). Seriously, that Transformers Revenge of the Fallen is one of the top 10 movies of all time and this has been somewhat a failure is a mystery of the highest level.

G.I. Joe is superior to TF:ROTF in every way but one, the CG… Thankfully whenever there isn’t some terrible CG going on and you have got real people beating and shooting the heck out of each other, it is a thing of absolute beauty. No blurry mess of generic metallic robots. The Joes and Cobras interact with each other and their enemies (well except Snake Eyes but he’s under a vow of silence but he gestures and that is far less annoying than Bumblebee’s radio communications.

The Good

It is based more on the somewhat serious comic rather than the hilarity of the cartoon which is a good thing, as much as I love the cartoon, taking Cobra Commander serious when even Destro is calling him a buffoon because of his bungling and his ludicrous plans would not have made a good movie…

Characters within this film actually make sense for the most part, Zartan is done superbly, both in acting and the way they give him his powers of changing face and the way it is implemented. Storm Shadow and Snakeeyes don’t dominate the film but still get their backstory put across and thankfully the accelerator suits pushed in the adverts account for about 5 minutes of film.

The action is plentiful. There are action scenes on land, under water and in air, we have bullets, sonic weapons and swords. There are also plenty of little nods to the source material like Knowing is half the battle. With that much going on it would be hard to wreck the film and I give credit to the director, this is well paced, he gets the story across and doesn’t bog it down with needless scenes, it’s similar to Iron Man in that you never go long without something great happening.

The Bad

I mentioned the CG earlier, it is generally fine but there are bits, which aren’t even all that often but which smack of some corners obviously being cut in production. Also Cobra guards do seem to exist only to be slain by Snakeeyes, and Cobra security in general is minimal. As for the Neo Vipers, well the Joes are so awesome they lose all menace far too easily.

Other than that, there is the continuing theme of film writers being unable to grab hold of basic concepts such as distance or time, basic maths which has been a bane of films from the stupid but enjoyable Terminator Salvation to the outright rediculous lets run across a desert instead of catch a ride in Bumblebee and the utter lack of time it takes to get anywhere fail of TFROTF. Seriously, my maths and geography aren’t great but I’m fairly sure fire a missile at mach 4 then fly a jet after it at mach 5 then turn around and fly after another missile that’s been going mach 4 in the other direction the entire time and you have fail… But never mind, we’ve seen worse.

The What?

Now these could have gone under bad but are just too mystifying and don’t actually affect the film unless you are a Joe fan. I watched it with someone who hadn’t read the comics, collected the toys or watched the cartoon and he had no idea about these.

Ripcord is now black, and a major character instead of the old comic character being a bit part at best. I can’t even remember if Ripcord made it into the old cartoon series he was so unimportant.

Accelerator suits, why use these in the first film? they were late in the comic series and from now on at all times you just think, well if they had one of those suits….

And then the for some reason, instead of the well established relationship triangle of Snakeyes, Duke and Scarlett, this film decides to make it Snakeeyes, Ripcord and Scarlett. Why? so they could have Duke have a prior relationship with the Baroness… Well it gives this Duke some character as well as allows Ripcord to have some character so I’m happy to let it slide.

If there was one thing that I could change in this film, it would be to change Cobra Commander’s mask. It’s only in it for a minute but my God, he has a couple of iconic masks in the comic and cartoon and they created a horrible new one instead of using the cloth or curved reflective masks. Terrible but if that’s what annoyed me most, a 1 minute cameo that can easily be changed for the sequel I think you can see that that is a pretty good film.

Verdict

The major changes to characters may really upset some hardcore fans, but I know some hardcore fans that call this AWESOME. Why, because it still feels like a G.I. Joe film, the major changes work within the film and it as entertaining a film as they come. Turn off the brain and enjoy. Go to the cinema and make sure you have popcorn. I’m now waiting for the blu-ray and the sequel as this film not only had a good ending, but it has an ending that sets up another film superbly. This film rocked oh, and Yo Joe! (sorry I had to)

The second official live action film based on the Street Fighter video games is possibly the most mediocre action film I have ever seen.

That said, I will buy it on blu-ray just for the awesomeness of Balrog.

There’s an awful lot wrong with this film from a Street Fighter fan’s point of view but as a stand alone film it’s not bad, just average, from the competant but not great fights to the glory of Balrog and an RPG which really sums up a lot about this film, it shouldn’t really have been called Street Fighter at all really.

Of course there’s also the question, how does it compare to the original live action film?

Well, Balrog aside, the casting and costume design is this is ABYSMAL. Epic fail doesn’t even cover how wrong Bison is…From bleach blonde hair to generic business suit instead of trademark Bison red outfit. Oddly they then gave Charlie Nash black hair not blonde…

At no point does Kristin Kreuk wear an outfit you’d associate with Chun Li. Of course it doesn’t help that she is hardly of the correct background to play a Chinese girl… A shame as she is hot in her own right but not as Chun Li, wrong figure and doesn’t look good when kicking ass.

Gen is played by Robin Shou, who played Liu Kang in Mortal Kombat and he does a great job not only in the fights but also as Chun Li’s mentor but couldn’t look less like Gen if he tried.

So in terms of outfits, although they looked poor in the original, at least they were reasonably accurate.

Story

At the start of this I thought someone’s got Chun Li mixed up with Helena from DOA, she starts of as a young piano player which puts it closer to DOA than the DOA film even… Anyway, in this her dad is kidnapped in front of a young Chun Li not killed. Here I’d like to mention that before he was kidnapped, Chun Li’s father kicked ass and was seriously awesome until they use Chun Li as a hostage on him.

Chun Li knows she wants to go after Bison but doesn’t know how to until intervention from Gen’s group helps her. With Gen’s training she learns her ki attack and then she goes Double Dragon on Bison’s henchwoman and Shadaloo minions and even Vega. She then falls into a trap and finally gets to watch her dad die a weak death that doesn’t seem to cause any emotion at all and then she makes short work of her captors to escape.

Throughout the film, Charlie Nash is a step behind Bison and he is working in Chun Li’s official role – interpol… He has a female sidekick who is useless eyecandy. Eventually Chun Li tracks him down rather than the other way round and she gets Interpol to back her and Gen up.

Gen fights Balrog and then Bison leading to the finale with Chun Li fighting the man who killed her father but doesn’t have any good lines to say about it.

Seeing how Chun Li was a reporter in the old film it’s hard to say it stuck to people’s story either, we’ll call this a fail on both films as while undercover reporter is much closer than vigilante. The original film had Charlie turn into Blanka, guess the makers never completed SFII as Blanka eh Jimmy!

Is that all the characters?

SF: TLOFCL purposefully uses a much smaller subset of the SF roster compared to the over ambitious original and changes things needlessly, seriously there are loads of films are out there where a cop is after someone that killed a family member, so why change Chun Li’s story? It also mean creating new characters like Charlie’s partner – needless.

Cammy, didn’t make the film but the film makers merged Cammy’s moveset into Chun Li’s anyway so we still get to see a frankensteiner but it’s just not as sexy as when Cammy does it.

Vega is fine, not as much of a blood thirsty monster as the anime but to compare either film to that is like comparing the Death Star to a supersoaker.

Balrog is the star of this movie, stealing every scene he’s in. He isn’t in costume but I certainly brought into him as a powerful and very bad man who enjoys his work.

Bison just can’t get close to the late Raul Julia, to be fair, the script wouldn’t let him and he was believably evil enough, just lacked the scenes to show how evil he is.

Rose was tacked in near the end, a rare case of one-upping the original film. She does nothing but prove a distraction though.

Umm that’s it, Chun Li, Gen, Charlie, Balrog, Vega, Rose and Bison is all they could manage to fit in and they still butchered half of their character histories.

It’s not all bad though

BUT from a film point of view, the characters worked within the realms of their stories, it didn’t drag on, wasn’t obscenely idiotic like Revenge of the Fallen and the fights were far better than Dragonball Evo. This film deserved better treatment than it’s had in my opinion.

As for it’s standings in the Video game movie adaptations, just like the film, somewhere in the middle. It’s not an abomination like Mario, better than Double Dragon but it’s not a patch on Mortal Kombat or the shameless joy of DOA. If it wasn’t for Bison it would probably be a lot harder to pick between this and the original but thankfully Raul Julia gave us gems like this

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_B8rlonf0NQ

That’s how you put across how evil he is.

Due to friends with good contacts and one of the best Transformer websites http://www.transformertoys.co.uk I was privileged to see Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen at a special FDA screening at the Odeon cinema in Leicester Square on Friday 12th June. I would have reviewed it sooner but this was an invite only screening and there was a blackout on mentioning it in public until today.

The film was more of the same, the stuff that made the first film awesome is all here and the weak points from the first film are all still here. I’m not going to go into much detail here but there will be some mild spoilers but nothing you probably couldn’t have guessed but don’t read on if you really don’t wanna know.

The film is set a couple of years after the first, the Autobots are working with the US to secretly track down Decepticons and Sam is off to College. Bumblebee is having problems with his vocal processor again and can’t talk (seriously Ratchet? worst medic ever). We get a VERY brief intro to the new Autobots, my favourite Transformer from the old series makes his debut here. Sideswipe gets to look somewhat cool taking on the Decepticon Sideways and then true to character, he doesn’t say anything or get seen outside of being in the background the rest of the film…

Despite the name Revenge of the Fallen, this film is really all about the humans once again. There are loads of scenes on campus, Sam’s roommate Leo gets added to the cast as another comic relief character along with more parental scenes that the film didn’t really need.

There is a massive section around the middle of the film that just seemed to drag without much in the way of Transformer action while they put the story across using as manay humans and as much product placement as they can.

Megatron is revived on the orders of The Fallen who btw, is Megatron’s boss despite not seeming any more powerful and is in fact afraid of the Primes and their descendent Optimus. You never find out why Megatron is subservient to someone afraid of someone who is afraid of the Prime that he beat the parts out of in the first film. The Fallen is older so he is in charge period. When the Decepticons free Megatron he obviously doesn’t come back at full power because for whatever the reason, Prime is now far more powerful, able to hold his own for quite some time in an awesome 3 on 1 fight in a forest that goes a long way to making up for the slow middle that follows it.

The Matrix of Leadership is in this film, not the design most fans would have chosen but proves to be important enough that you can forgive it not being mentioned in the first film even if it is so important…

The Good News

This film retains for the most part the action and comedy of the first. I loved Skids and Mudflap, at one point these two twin Autobots do a great job of trying to blend in with their surroundings in the middle of a desert which obviously could never work – good stuff. Wheelie was the complete opposite of his namesake in the original animated movie and transforming into a radio controlled Big Foot makes him the one toy that I really want a working toy of. There’s action-a-plenty in the finale, the Decepticons have a small army of generic troopers which make for excellent cannon fodder against the Autobots and US special forces (mostly the army) but we get our big showdown at the end and its good.

The Bad News

Jetfire fans, I really feel for you, his poor treatment is the equivilent of Jazz from the first film and makes me glad they didn’t bother to use Sidewipe the rest of the film. Arcee doesn’t fare much better than Jetfire but I never liked her anyway so no loss to me. Anyone with a sense of geography, ignore it, distance and time taken to travel said distance are meaningless here. Devastator is awful in design and effectiveness and the constructicons manage to be combined and around as individuals at the same time in the same scene. I guess they could have an army of them but even so its weak.

Rant Time

Less humans and more character development for the Transformers would easily turn this into an A+ but sadly, even the Transformers we saw in the first film are unable to get any more noticable character (or even screentime for Ratchet & Ironhide). Its worse for the Decepticons, only Starscream gets any semblance of character which is a shame because if you invest time into the Decepticons, defeating them would be far more meaningful. Killing someone who had their name mentioned once does nothing to me, killing generic troopers does nothing. I’m used to watching wrestling where bad guys are put over as being super tough monsters, evil opportunists or cheating gits to make you want to cheer the good guys. All this movie wants to do is promote the US Army and Special Forces. FAIL. I want to and will pay to see TRANSFORMERS. If I want to watch the US Special Forces blow some shit up I’ll watch Delta Force and watch Chuck Norris do it. If I want to watch them against a superior alien threat, I’ll watch Predator and watch Arnie do it.

To Be Fair

It would be remiss of me to point out that the original animated movie had 2 years of cartoons and comics as well as tech specs on all the toys to give the existing Transformers character so when they get killed off to make room for the new characters, their deaths mean something. This film doesn’t have that advantage, (the movie toys come with a one line description of their character now – lame) but that just means you have to work harder and show more of the Transformers not less. FAIL.

The Final Verdict

Like the original, this is lacking the one scene that blows you away (nothing compares to the awesomeness of the T-800 coming out in Terminator 4 or Prime turning the tide of battle singlehandedly in the original Transformers The Movie.).

Despite not learning a thing from the original, Revenge of the Fallen is still a good film, the CG is top notch, clearer than the first when they are fighting and a fair amount of the comedy hits home well. Definitely worth a watch or two but it didn’t blow me away. Like Spider-man 3, good use of chapter skip on a blu-ray could make this into a shorter and much better film. For what I saw, I’d give it a B- and hope they don’t make a third as I’m tired of overly complicated and fucgly robot designs that take up too much time to render so they have to fill the runtime with humans and the movie toys just look awful compared to the Universe and Transformers Animated lines.

The bottom line is if you enjoyed the first, you will enjoy this.
