just to be anal, I'm off the opinion that the new facial features means that the animation will be synched to the english words and therefore should be considered merely an alternative version rather than a dubbed version. It could be argued that it would fall into the dialogue changes category but it would seem to be against the spirit of this seeing as the dialogue in english was always planned. That argument would also seem more appropriate, to my mind, for use in films rather than video games, which by their nature, are more cut and shut in adding sequences.

Personal thing I guess unless someone takes it to a higher authority but I somehow doubt the supreme court will take too much interest in.

Either way, how easy is it to import games now? Not done it for a looooong time. Has the industry's increased sensibility regarding piracy effected it at all? (I appreciate this is a somewhat lame attempt to drag it back on topic but after derailing it I thought I ought to try).

I've imported 4 games or so. Can't say it's much of a hassle. Though play-asia seems to refuse shipping PS3 games to europe. Though I did have to pay taxes on some. My FFXIII came through without import taxes which made me happy. Sadly all the feeling of awesomeness and hapiness I got yesterday was shot down with my PS3 acting up. :'(

You could try http://www.yesasia.com/global/en/home.html - it's where I get all my Japanese music dvds and movies etc. Usually delivery is free on items over a certain amount and tax is already paid for, but unfortunately it's not the case with FF13, it's not eligible for tax free to the UK and Germany.

Bought FFXIII from yesasia. Now I've gotten a response from sony support saying that they can't give any support on FFXIII as it hasn't been released in this region, but I could try formating my PS3 system and see if that works. :? But I know the game disc is totally fine as I've been playing on my friends PS3 for the past two days.

The game is great. The combat system is unique and very fluid. You can use libra on enemies or kill a certain number of them to unlock all their information (what their weak against and what they are immune to) which will make the AI controlled party members smarter. I have no grudge against the AI so far. It's quite linear, like FFX. But I haven't gotten to the big world yet where all the side quest hunting is. And the story is as great. The characters are well done. One of the best FF games I've played. And the game is the best looking PS3 game I've played.

And seems my PS3 has to be fixed at sony.. Tried all possible stuff to fix it and nothing helps.

Sounds great then, glad to hear it's good. Tales of Vesperia had a similar thing where you had to use a Magic Lense on enemies to find out all the information, also linked with an achievement to get as well, which is the same as FF13, you have to get the information of 100 enemies or something close to that number if I remember right.

I aint gonna bother with the PS3 version (was also thinking of importing it myself) since I would have to buy a PS3 as I don't have 1.... and well I want to save for Japan again this year.

So I guess you will have to wait then until FF13 gets released here until they would consider trying to repair it? Is it still the only game that doesn't work and all the others work? Would definitely be difficult to try and find the problem for that especially since it works fine on another PS3. Odd problem indeed.

Don't know. Think they can repair it anyway.. Something is broken so it shouldn't matter what game it is... And all games and movies works fine except my FFXIII. And it works on my friends system so it's actually fine... I've tried with dual layer blu-ray discs and I've tried with imported discs. Something about this problem is just totally odd.

On the topic of FFXIII you get a theme for each party member from trophies. I find it fun that you actually get something worthwhile for doing the trophies except for some e-peen boost. Haven't unlocked any themes yet though. But I know they are there, atleast on the japanese version. Probably on the english one as well though, I see no reason to why they would remove it.

I unlocked one of the themes now. It was from the trophy mentioned above where you have to gather information on 100 enemies.

Also our scandinavion support contacted SCEE asking if there was any issues with the 3.15 firmware. As that's the only difference between my friends PS3 and mine.. And well his is a newer version. Though what bothers me is that they asked about FFXIII only while I've seen people have the same issue with CODMW2 as well.

Well I've beaten the game now and it was amazing. This is by far my favourite FF game. FFIX being my favourite before this. All FF fans should get this game. :P

And on the topic off my PS3 I still haven't recieved a reply about if I'm supposed to send it in or not.. Starting to think I'll have to call SCEE and ask them instead of waiting for this crap scandinavian support.
