So it arrived this morning via play.com. I must have pre-ordered it about eight months ago and forgotten completely. For those who don't know it's a revamped version of the original with re-recorded vocal work and updated graphics in the same style as the Stand Alone Complex series and absolutely gorgeous. It's still an awesome film, stunning visuals, evocative soundtrack and well worth a watch.

I have to admit, at times through the film I felt as if it didn't need the revamp, but other places were indeed a pleasure to see. I'm a bit annoyed though that the original hasn't been made on to blu ray, only the 2.0 version has. In many ways I prefer the original.
And god no, I really think they are just milking the franchise now after the announcement of Ghost in the Shell being remade yet again, into 3D. |
